Methodology

inlingua Method (called the Advanced Direct Method) is based on the following principles:
Target Language only
Learn through speaking
Give examples rather than explain
Get students to speak
Learning atmosphere
Handle students' mistakes carefully
Check before moving to the next step
Allow students to experiment
Variety and versatility
Choose subject matters that interest the student
Use three key techniques:
  Ask rather than make statements
  Have students weave new language
Keep books closed during the lesson

Instructors
Our staff of instructors is highly qualified. They have been accredited by our main office after approving the difficult exam inlingua Training Test. They master the successful inlingua methodology and they teach their mother tongue's language or some other language in which they are near to native speakers. Since they are professionals in other areas, they give very interesting classes, stimulating conversation and communication in the target language but about matters or subjects that are really interesting to the student's field of action.

The Pedagogical Services Department in Bern, Switzerland and our Research and Development Centers in Germany and Italy are constantly developing and updating teaching materials and methodology for exclusive use in inlingua centers. This ensures the highest possible standards and continuity among all inlingua schools, which has entitled us to obtain official recognition from prestigious universities.
